History of the College

Sant Baba Hazara Singh College of Education is situated at Village Chhina on the road from N.M.Singh to Nikke
Ghuman and is surrounding by green fields. It is hardly half K.M from N.M.Singh bus stop in the west. Chhina is also a railway station. N.M.Singh is 10 km from Batala on the Amritsar-Batala-Pathankot G.T.Road.
Majority of people of remote rural areas around Village Chhina are economically unsound. They had longed wished and suggested for a B.ed College in the area as they were enable send their Graduate Wards out of the district and other state so the society is decided to establish this college to do the needful.
So the foundation of the college was laid on the auspicious day of 12th Jan, 2005.
The main objective of this College is to provide trained and dedicated teachers to the society. At present college has 100 B.Ed. seats.
It is worth mentioning that this temple of learning has been erected in the sweet memory of Sant Baba Hazara Singh Ji, Puran Brahm Giani
of Village Nikke Ghuman , Distt Gurdaspur. Baba ji was huminary of truth preached and practiced “The Gurmat”. Simplicity, Love of Humanity Honest earning, Human Equality and brother hood and Education for all especially the poor were his doctrines.
One thing more to tell is some sensors of village Chhina had revealed that the plot on which the college is become brought up had been blessed with the “Holy Touch” of Baba Ji’s feets. Baba Ji had encamped here for the whole night in the “Sangat” This strength “The Faith in Hymns of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji”:-

“JITHE JAEY BAHE MERA SATGURU
SO THAAN SOHAVA RAM RAJEY”

This venue shall surely be becoming beautiful and still more beautiful day in day out not only through its campus but buy its achievements in the field of Education.
